Changes are underway.... as economic uncertainty and concern about the safety of our food supply and what it contains increase, we have decided to alter the direction of our farm.  We have added a number of different small breeds of livestock and poultry to our farm. We have acquired most of the animals that we will need for brood stock and will be raising these for home consumption as well as to sell to other like minded small farmers. Please look around and see if there is anything that interests you. We will have a limited number of offspring available. We will be happy to put you on a notification list for any future babies. We have been very pleased with the eggs, milk and chicken that we have produced so far.

However, we will continue to raise quality colorful miniature horses. We are expecting several more foals this spring. Please look around and let us know how we can help you with your next special horse.

LNL  MiniFarm raises AMHA registered miniature horses. Our bloodlines include Johnston's GoldBoy, NFC's Fire and Ice, and Sligo Spotted Horse. We are located in NE Alabama, about 6 or 7 miles from I59 exit 231. We bought our first mini in 1994 from Checkmate Farms in Dalton Ga. They really are like Lays chips, you can't have just one. Our herd has slowly grown and today we have over 20.

Josey and LNL War Eagle were in their first show on Labor Day 2008. Josey worked hard with the little app for a few weeks getting him ready.  He was as proud of his ribbon as we are of him.

We had our son, Josey,  in 2002. He has made the horses that much more enjoyable. He loves the horses.  He has been around them since he came home from the hospital. When we had work to do in the barn, he would sit in his carrier and wagon and all the horses would gather around to see him.
Our stallion B&W's BlackHawk is nice enough to let Josey ride. Valley Head Saddle shop in Ider AL, made Josey's saddle for us.
Josey is just three in this picture, but had already learned what chores needed to be done each day. He is quick to tell you if you skip something or are late about doing anything. He is a real stickler for cleaning the barn. If you have children and have the room, a mini is the best thing that you could ever get them.

Sometimes, I think that they wish Josey was still in that wagon.
